Are sound bars good worth it for a home theater?

I have been looking at the Sony HTCT150 but I dont know if it will be worth it. I am on a limited budget but are they good for imitating surround sound?Are sound bars good worth it for a home theater?
Sound bars are good as long as you get the right one. That said, they will never be as good as an equivalent surround sound system, but they are cheaper and easier to set up.

I would look at the new Bowers and Wilkins sound bar. It would make the Vizio one the other girl mentioned look like crap.Are sound bars good worth it for a home theater?
We have 3 sound bars in my house %26amp; the top of the line is VIZIO don't regret it at all. Better than a home theater!
