Why don't people drink at home instead of going to bars and then endangering others by driving home drunk?

Because alcohol abusers tend to be self-centered and blind to their own problems. Trying a few drunk drivers for attempted PREMEDITATED murder could make some think. Why don't people drink at home instead of going to bars and then endangering others by driving home drunk?
Hard to pick up strange chicks at home.
Because when people drink they think EvERYONE wants to be around them. Heres a better question... why doesnt the government outlaw booze alltogether like they did marajuanna? Ask any cop who they would rather arrest...a drunk or someone stoned? Drunk driving kills more people than cancer each year but you dont see any cures for that horriable disease do you? but we have dick pills for the less endowed... america sure does have it priorities messed up huh?Why don't people drink at home instead of going to bars and then endangering others by driving home drunk?
Who wants to drink at home? Wife, kids hanging around? No thanks.

I never said I drive drunk, just that it's no fun to drink at home.
Its illegal to drink and drive but we have drive through liquor stores. Also think about this, when you are eating at a restaurant, and a man and woman are eating together, THEY BOTH ARE DRINKING with their meal, but the server serves them both alcohol who drives home sober? Why don't people drink at home instead of going to bars and then endangering others by driving home drunk?
People who drink are stupid and don't think about the welfare of others. They are silly and selfish
we have a bus that shuttles drunk people around it only costs us $15 for the first 8 miles.
If they go in %26amp; drink in Public Places, then they can call themselves "Social Drinkers" instead of "Alcoholics"! For years, the phamphlets from groups such as AA (Alcoholics Anonymous), have outlined how to identify if a person is an Alcoholic %26amp; needs help by asking a range of questions. One of those questions is, "Do you drink alone?" Many people feel that if they drink alone, then they are automatically labeled as an "Alcoholic"! So, not wanting to be labeled (or admit to having a problem), they go out in public %26amp; think they are ok until they are arrested for DUI. Many people seem to be in DENIAL or just don't care until it happens to them! Alcohol effects a persons thinking %26amp; reasoning skills. Add to that a stubborn person who refuses to admit that a little drink can't %26amp; won't change their lives, %26amp; you have your answer!
I don't think that sitting at a bar, drinking makes you more dangerous on the road then someone who sits at home and drinks, and then choose to leave for whatever reason. It's actually not where you are that makes this dangerous, it's the damn alcohol, straight and simple. But to answer your question, the main reason people go to bars is to socialize, not necessarily to drink.
