I want to make energy/breakfast bars at home and every recipe I find online has different things from oatmeal to butter to honey in them. So what ingredients are necessities when making them so I can just add in my own extras like nuts and dried fruit?What is needed to make energy bars at home?

You need a base for everything to sick to (oatmeal) and then you need something to bind it all (sugar - honey)
