How do people get home from bars/clubs in LA?

Do most people either just drive drunk or have a designated driver? Or are cabs pretty easy to come by when it comes to getting home at 2am after getting drunk at a bar? The other major cities I've visited/lived in all have plentiful cabs and public transit but LA seems to be a different creature.How do people get home from bars/clubs in LA?

they have a DD or drive drunk!! The taxi system in LA sucks unless you're at the airport!! You have to store the number in your phone ahead of time and be prepared to wait!! It's nothing like vegas or new york where there are taxis everywhere!!

My friends and I just alternate between whos drinking and whos driving or for special occasions we get a hotel room in the area we're partying at!!How do people get home from bars/clubs in LA?
Yes, we are different creatures. Most people just get behind the wheel and off they go. Our public transit system sucks. Buses stop running regularly, taxi's when you can find them are money suckers. Maybe MADD has a list of people/agencies you can call. Good Luck
