Did anyone ever make home made chocolate bars instead of buying them??

yeah taste better you could make all lil different waysDid anyone ever make home made chocolate bars instead of buying them??
once in school like in 3rd grade
yes, it's very easy. All you have to do is melt down the chocolate and make your own. You need a mold, or just use and 8x8 pan and then cut into bars. Here are some I have made

Crunch bars- Melt chocolate down in a double boiler and add rice crispie cereal to it, spread on greased baking dish or on waxpaper. When it cools, cut into bars.

Peanut butter cups- Buy mini cupcake foil, aobut 1" (all grocery stores sell them) fill bottom of tin with melted chocolate. put about 1/2 tsp of peanut butter on top of chocolate and then pour more chocolate on top till peanut butter is covered. Let cool and you have your own peanut butter cups!

Mounds bar- Again, take a cupcake foil and fill bottom with melted chocolate. add a clump of shredded coconut (press coconut together to form a ball) put on top of the melted chocolate. pour chocolate on top of coconut till it's covered. cool and then remove the foil. Mounds bar!

Rollo's- Take mini cupcake tins and fill bottom with melted chocolate. add a kraft caramel cube. cover the caramel with chocolate and put in fridge. when cool you have a chocolate covered caramel!

There are so many more. I even make chocolate covered cherries.

If you like the ones with the liquid in them, all you do is buy the maraschino cherries, drain and dry with paper towel. Cover the outside of the cherry with fondant. dip in chocolate and let sit in fridge for one week. The fondant will turn to liquid during that week. Or you can just dip the dried cherry into chocolate and enjoy!Did anyone ever make home made chocolate bars instead of buying them??

Well, you can't make choc easily, but you can make candy bars with choc that you just melt, whether choc chips, or good bulk choc.

If you just want bars of plain choc, buy 'em. Cheaper, easier.

no but if you do let me know haha
making your own chocolate is a complicated and time consuming process, involving roasting cocoa beans, and grinding them into a paste,so i doubt many people make it at home, but if you mean melting bought chocolate, and moulding your own bars, then yes i have.
Like a candy bar? Sure....just melt slowly a mix of semisweet and milk chocolate chips, add nuts if you like and spread the mixture on a non stick cookie sheet (with sides, of course). Stick in the fridge and let sit.

You can also dip carmels or put in nuts and take out by the spoonful onto wax paper and let them sit and harden. You can add coconut also if you like.
