Planning on building my dream pool home, wet bar, jaccuzzi, BBQ pit, showers Know where to get blue prints?

I have 1 1/2 acre. Want a gated entrance, circular drive way, doble doors front entrance with pilars; the house to wrap around the pool, so it could be seen from all the rooms (3B/3B)family room, laundry room, kitchen. The pool area will have palm trees, hamacs, an outside kitchen and BBQ pit, pool with jacuzzi, and a wet bar; I love that bring the outside in feeling. Any idea where to find blue prints, or books and pictures.??Planning on building my dream pool home, wet bar, jaccuzzi, BBQ pit, showers Know where to get blue prints?
There are several "magazines" at the local stores like Wal-Mart, Target, etc that have nothing but page after page of house plans. Southern Living Magazine also publishes similar books. All of these will sell you sets of blue prints for your use.

When we were looking for a plan for our retirement home, we looked through dozens of these and found a plan we really liked.Planning on building my dream pool home, wet bar, jaccuzzi, BBQ pit, showers Know where to get blue prints?
Jesse,

Many builders have stock plans similar to what you can find in magazines. If they have something clost to what you are looking for, minor modifications should not be a problem.

However, it sounds to me like you have specific ideas and would likely enjoy being a part of creating your own home. You should seriously consider speaking with an architect.

Speaking with people who have recently built, finding out who their architect and builder were, how the relationship was, how well things were thought-out, and how well the budget was maintained is a good starting point.

For a single residential project, the builder should be local. It is often beneficial if the architect is as well, however with file sharing capabilities, it is far less critical. Finding someone you have a good rapport with is important.
