What are the essential cordials for a home bar?

I'm not talking about vodka, rum, gin etc. I mean things like creme de menthe or Benedictine. I got a bartender's guide for christmas and would really like to make stuff out of it. Could you give me a list of say, 8 types of cordials/liquers that I NEED and will actually use? 10 points to the best list. Thank you!What are the essential cordials for a home bar?
My son stocked his bar with:

* Amaretto

* Irish Cream (ie. Bailey's)

* Creme de Cacao

* Coffee Liqueur (ie. Kahlua)

* Dry Vermouth

* Sweet Vermouth

* Orange Liqueur (ie. Triple Sec, Cointreau, Cura莽ao)

He got his list from here: http://cocktails.about.com/od/stockyourb鈥?/a>

But I later found a better list and he will be adding to above

Amer Picon

Campari

Chartreuse

Assuming you have the basics, like you said, Vodka, Gin, Rum, Vermouth... here's what I'd recommend.

Amaretto

Irish Cream

Creme de Bananes

Creme de Menthe (go with the green)

Creme de Cacao

Kahlua

Raspberry liqueur like Chambord

Strawberry liqueur or a Creme de Fraises

Grand Marnier

Blue Curacao

Most of these can be combined to make some fun drinks.

Banana/Chocolate

Chocolate/Mint

Chocolate/Raspberry

Chocolate/Strawberry

Kahlua/Grand/Bailey's

Add a few flavoured vodkas, some Triple Sec, maybe a few fun creams (that have to be kept in the fridge) and your off to a good start!
