What is the penalty for driving your drunk friends home from the bar without valid license?

I have an expired learners permit, which enables me to drive with anyone over the age of 21, and all of the people that i am driving are of age to drink. it just expired the 16th of this month. what would be the penalty if i got pulled over in the situation? b.t.w i reside in NCWhat is the penalty for driving your drunk friends home from the bar without valid license?
the same as driving without a license.
I'm hoping this hasnt already happened. You'd be much better off calling a cab or asking someone who has a valid license. You could end up having to pay a big fine or going to jail for doing someone a favor. It's not worth it.What is the penalty for driving your drunk friends home from the bar without valid license?
You might end up in jail with Paris Hilton! LOL
The same penalty for driving alone. It doesn't matter if you are driving drunken people.

You are asking for trouble if you keep doing this; a lerner permit doesn allow you to drive with drunken people (the 21 person must be sobber and have a valid license too).

Your friends are taking advantage of you, and you are the only one getting in trouble. If caught you can be banned from a licese for some years, or sentece to pay a heavy fine; if you get into a car accident then you can go to jail if anyone get injured (even the druken passenger can sue you if he gets hurt). What is the penalty for driving your drunk friends home from the bar without valid license?
Driving without a valid license is illegal, no matter who you are driving.
sounds like you may need some new friends?
well, you'd get an expensive ticket... and you'd probably lose your ability to get a license for 6 months... and your insurance would go sky high... and everyone in the car would be walking.... and the impaired sriver might also get a ticket.

You can not drive without a valid learner's permit, whether someone is in the car or not; and even if you had one, driving while you "licensed" driver is inebriated will still get you a ticket.
driving without a license no insurance you will get a suspended ban from driving and points when you get one plus a fine of a lot of money
I don't know. But if it hasn't happened yet -- Don't do it.

Assuming this is not hypothetical, and you have an upcoming court date. Appoligize say that you now realize that instead of driving we should have called a cab. But at time I thought it would be safer, even though it was a crime, for me to drive than to let one of my drunk friends with a valid licesence to drive.

I doubt a judge would decide you are the person we need to use to set an example and throw the book at you.

In a NY court this would likely result in a 6 month ACOD. Which means don't do this again and if you don't get in trouble for 6 mos the charges get dismissed.
