All you need to sterilize it is rubbing alcohol. Douse the bar and wipe your belly button down before inserting it. You dont really need to go through boiling it etc. You can if youd like but theres really no need.

You can just boil some water (from a tea kettle or on the stove) and then pour some into a cup that you won't be using anymore. Drop your jewellery in there and let it soak for about 10 minutes.

After that time, grab some tweezers and get the jewellery out (the water will still be hot), run some cold water and put the jewellery under it before putting it in. HOW TO STERLIZE BELLY BARS AT HOME?
Hi,

There are three ways in which you can sterilize.

1. Use a hot flame (Lighter/Match etc) Just put the belly bar over it for a few seconds.

2. Put it in absolutley boiling water for about 2 minutes.

3. Put the belly bar in pure alcohol to clean it for 5 minutes.

I hope that i helped you out mate.

you dont need to sterilize every new one unless its still healing

dont use hydrogen peroxide, it can irritate the skin and make it dry

soak it in salt solution/wound wash/tea tree oil for 5 minutes and clean the hole just before puttin it inHOW TO STERLIZE BELLY BARS AT HOME?
When i put a new 1 in i normally boil the kettle pour it in a clean new container and put a little salt in the water then drop my belly bar in it for a few mins. Make sure your hands are clean too hun x
PUT IT IN SALT WATER BY DOING

-GET A GLASS OF TAP WATER ( IT DON'T MATTER WHETHER IT'S HOT OR COLD)

-PUT TABLE SALT INTO THE WATER IMMEDIATELY

-POP THE BELLY BAR INTO THE WATER

-LEAVE FOR ABOUT A HOUR
Boiling them in water for a few minutes is easy to do at home, however you can buy alcohol swabs designed for cleaning piercings. I'd recommend them rather than using some random alcohol!

Best of Luck
Hydrogen Peroxide. Make sure you dry it off really well after that, since hydrogen peroxide will dry out your piercing.
hydrogen peroxide!

if i dont have any of this i use boiling salt water and drop it in for about 10 minutes! never had a problem with any of mine doing this!
Rubbing alcohol is sufficient.
either put it in a flame or pour boiling water over it! or put it in boiling water and salt!
hydrogen peroxide and lots of it!
Salt water and cotton wool should just work.
i put all mine in savlon disinfectant spray! it works like a dream!!
