I enjoy getting back with my friends every time I visit my home town [Chicago]. Many have left, so I manage with the few bosom friends who still live there.

The woman I fell in love with when I was a kid still lives there. It's sad looking at her now. Age has taken its toll on her [and on me, too]. We don't do anything these days. In fact, the past isn't even brought up.
It can be entertaining to hear old friends yammer on about the glory days. I wouldn't want to do it too often though. Listening to a guy talk about dating the prettiest girl in high school can get depressing when it's been 8 years, and he now sports a gut and a receding hairline.If you travel home for Thanksgiving, do you enjoy meeting up with your high school bf/gf for a good stiff one?
When I was single I preferred to try to give a stiff one to the ones I didn't get in high school.

I still live in my hometown so it is when they come home.

I don't have friends back "home" any more. I was a virgin when I lived there, anyway.
