Pullup bars at home help?

i was wondering if those puulup bars that wedge b/t the two sides of your door can damage ur door and if they work good? i need one for the house considering it so cold outside. i know you can get them at hibbets and walmart. any info would be great, thanksPullup bars at home help?
Most of the makers of doorway pull up bars say they will not damage your door frame. This is true for the most part. But ... with prolonged use over time, I can see how the door frame could become dented or scuffed at the point where the bar rests on the frame.

I recommend adding a little extra protection or padding in between the door frame and the bar. I use a couple of old towel. These add enough extra padding to make sure that the door frame is protected, and it won't adversely affect your workout.Pullup bars at home help?
if your on about this one http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_-EpLeF2W5fc/ST鈥?/a> then no. These ones which push against either side are perfectly safe and can not damage the door but the ones which wedge inside can as theres no equal pressure..

i have the one in the picture got it last week and i love it you first think what that doesn't look safe at all as its just your weight that holds it in place even if u jump up n down on it, it doesn't move! i got mine off ebay for about 拢12? so that's like $16 i guess... and i would not complain at all.

im not advertising this or anything lol but the day after i got my pull up bar i actually felt my muscles had had a proper work out defiantly in my abs :) i love that feeling haha
