So people can get drunk at a bar and drive home but they can't buy alcohol and then drink it at home?

In Georgia, we have a law that states that no alcohol can be sold from grocery stores, gas stations, liquor stores, etc on Sundays. But the bars and restaurants can sell alcohol. How does that make any sense? They want people to drink and drive but they don't want them to drink safely at home?So people can get drunk at a bar and drive home but they can't buy alcohol and then drink it at home?
Blue laws generally started as a way to make sure that everyone went to church instead of drinking. Then, more recently, the restaurants lobby to be able to serve alcohol with brunch, and pretty soon drinking in bars and restaurants on Sunday gets legalized, but buying alcohol in a store stays illegal. So people can get drunk at a bar and drive home but they can't buy alcohol and then drink it at home?
people shouldnt be drinking alcohol anywhere ha ha!
