What are all the must have liquors for a good home bar?

please provide good brands and specific types too. i'm 20, going on 21 gonna get me some liquor. i like everything i've tried but vodka. i like simple mixed drinks or just liquor on the rocks (i used to drink in high school. don't drink anymore. i know drinking underage was a bad idea)What are all the must have liquors for a good home bar?
I'd say a good start for the basics would be vodka (Absolut and Grey Goose are good reasonably priced brands), gin (can't help you here, because I hate it! haha), tequila (Patron is delicious, Cuervo is good too), rum (Captain Morgan, Malibu), and a bourbon/whiskey (Woodford Reserve is my fave bourbon, great with ginger ale, Coke, etc. Wild Turkey is popular too but it has an almost spicy flavor). Dewar's is a decent scotch whiskey, but I'm not that familiar with the differences between whiskey, bourbon whiskey, scotch whiskey, etc--I just know what tastes good ;) Enjoy your bar!
