Because the purpose of bars and clubs is for anyone to go to and hang out, have a drink and catch up woth friends, not neccessarily find someone to hook up with. People who are 'already taken' dont spend every second with their bf.
Also, when girls say that, its not always true.... Why are there so many "already taken" girls at bars/clubs? Why dont they just stay at home with their bf?

Because our boyfriends suck. Or are out with their 'buddies'.
Or, maybe we just want to have fun too, without our bf at our side. Not all girls are clingy.
